Receive 8 tips, some of which you may already know, and some of which will eliminate the nonsense and turn your Facebook posts into tools.

Creating quality content isn’t a one-off task; it’s an ongoing process. Potential customers notice the uniqueness of our work after encountering our name multiple times, eventually deciding to follow us.

But how does good content come about? How do we become intriguing individuals worth following?

It’s like asking someone, “When did you fall in love with your partner?”

She didn’t just wake up one morning and decide she was in love. When they started going out and she said she had a bad day, he sat and listened to her. When he stopped on the way to buy himself something to eat, he thought of her and called to ask what she would like. When they went to a B&B for the first time, he packed her toothbrush. And so, after many actions that suited her and showed her that he cared, she fell in love with him.

Similarly, with content creation, there may be a standout moment when an amazing piece goes viral, affirming your ability to produce exceptional content. However, consistency and maximizing exposure are what establish authority in your field and enable you to deliver targeted content.

So, I’ve compiled some Facebook post writing tips for you – some may be familiar, while others may be new. One thing’s certain: following these tips will enhance the effectiveness of your content.

8 tips for writing Facebook posts that will help you market better

1. Content is not just text – what really catches the eye is visual

Content is not just text - what really catches the eye is visuals

No matter how interesting your texts are. We are in the era of information overload. There are a lot, A LOT, of articles and posts on the networks. In order to give your amazing text a chance, attach an interesting visual to it. Something related to the content itself, something that continues the story. Answer, match the content to the visual.

This visual can be authentic photos of you, interesting designs of your brand, a screenshot related to the text… GIF or video. But for God’s sake, don’t put stock photos.

2. Links in the first comment

Links in the first comment

Okay, I’m really guilty of this, usually because I’m arrogant.

But it’s clear that according to Facebook there is no interest in taking you out of their platform. If you have an amazing text and within it a proposal even more amazing, put the link in the first comment.

3. Paint a picture with words

Most people are visual. Therefore, they imagine shapes, colors, and even whole pictures when they talk to them or when they read texts. Try to draw your audience a picture.

If you add examples or numbers to the story, make sure you provide descriptions that engage the reader and connect them to the written words.

4. Feed your readers with a spoon

Don’t ever assume that your readers understand or fill in information on their own.

Use keywords, explanations, or links within the text that successfully convey the message correctly.

“Lack of ‘feeding’ with a spoon is something I encounter a lot when I go over texts of my clients’ customers. Because they are so familiar with the subject, they don’t bother to make sure everything is understood and there are clear connections between all the parts.”

5. Maintain quality control

Read your texts. Make sure they are clear. They provide value. They lead the reader to where you want them to be. Try reading your content as if you were a stranger to it and encountering it for the first time. Think about your persona, your business avatar, and try to understand if it speaks to him. Is it understandable? Is the language appropriate?

6. Spread the word

Spread the word

Whether you’ve written a post or an article for your blog, you always want to try to reach new people and not just the same pool of readers. If you already have a profile of a potential customer, try to understand which groups and communities that persona revolves around.

The wisdom here is not to do “copy-paste” but to tailor your text, at least initially, to that community. In other words, if I’m writing a post about content writing, I’ll present the content differently in a clicker group, a group of lecturers than in content writers’ community.

7. Posting Time

There’s serious trial and error here.

And everyone says something different. Some say post at times when people have a break. Some say post at night when there’s less competition. Some say to post early. In the morning.

I say – try and see what works for you.

Try to follow the posting times of your content and see what happens there. What works better. If you’re posting on a business page (not getting into the exposure discussion, good or bad), you have the ability to measure when your audience is most exposed to the information you’ve posted.

8. Connect Your Digital Assets Together

If your content is good, people will want to follow you.

I mean, make it easy.

In your Facebook profile, put a link to your website, Instagram, email, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Do the same on other platforms. Try to maximize your exposure to the audience interested in you.

Content is not static.

It’s a long-term relationship system.

As long as you take it seriously, build a system that works for you, and remain consistent – exposure and benefits will come naturally.
